Great app. Would be cool if it were a little easier to set up storage of flashcards on SD. My personal feeling is that the browser version of Anki is better if data and network access aren't a problem and if you aren't making cards on the go. AnkiDroid makes card-making more tenable, but in my experience it's still a bit arduous compared to the desktop version, though I must say the fault lies entirely with the use of an Android portable device and not at all with the application. Thank you

This has to be the most infuriating app, all I wanted was simple flash cards, I should have just gotten paper flash cards as they would have been less time consuming and wouldn't have me reading a library on how the app works because ever little thing is extremely unintuitive wouldn't recommend to anyone thanks for wasting almost 2 hours of my life just to show me the same like 15 out of 60 some odd cards in my deck.

I really don't know why people are so happy with this app. It's been a bit frustrating for me. I will look elsewhere. That said: 1. It's great that you can create your own cards on your PC, sync, and use them on your droid. Major plus, and any flashcard app that cannot do this is one I'd avoid. 2. The UX & UI of the spaced repetition terminology is extremely confusing. There are many options/settings, but none of them seem to do exactly what you **think** they do. There is no context-sensitive help that explains each term and setting, and this is my #1 complaint about the app. The user guide is worthless...looks like it was written by a developer for the benefit of other developers, not for end users. 3. Figuring out how to create a custom format/content card is quite difficult. If all you want is a very simple front & back card, this is a great app. But for learning Spanish, I want to create a front with the Spanish word, a sample Spanish phrase using that word, and a picture. I want the exactly opposite on the back side of the card. After uploading my CSV file, and playing with the card formats, it seems Anki cannot let me do this. And of course, the documentation is of no help whatsoever. Anki could be a killer app...bottom line is that it needs to become much more user friendly, and the help - both the guide and the in-app help - needs to be re-worked from scratch to focus on end users.

Leaving another review to respond to developers: your sync may only take several minutes, but mine takes hours. I have the same number of cards as you do. I started another sync around 6pm yesterday and I received a notification saying it was finally done at 10:29pm. However, there was also an error message stating that media failed to sync. Therefore, this is not "on the contrary" as you suggest. I've never had a support team try to prove me wrong rather than help address the issue.

This is a very usefull study tool for really anyone and the fact this can sync with your computer is really nice and helpful when you can't get to a PC. You are getting quite a lot for a free service so if your skeptical just try it since it doesn't cost you anything.

Helpful when it works, troubleshooting difficult to research. I'm pretty handy with looking up issues and reading articles on troubleshooting, but finding specifics are time consuming, even using the "find on page" option using my browser settings. I love the app though. 98% of the app functions perfectly. It's the other 2% that is bothersome.

This application does not make it easy to flip notes in a deck so that you can attempt to learn from both sides. It has so many features, but lacks basic functionality and user friendly features. I Edit: in response to the dev, I hope they realize two things can be true at the same time. Other applications simply have a button to flip the deck at the start of a session. What you have described is confusing and over complicated. Note: their response has been edited to omit insults directed at me

The updated app and the computer version no longer sync for photos. Any photos added when making cards on the computer can no longer be viewed when using the app. So unfortunate! Anki used to be great and easy to use.

Edit: Thanks to the devs help, I figured out how to add global fonts! Thank you! This app works pretty well! Make sure to take the time to go through the settings and deck settings. I definitely recommend this app as a part of your arsenal of learning tools!

After downloading shared decks they don't appear in the app. Even after moving the apkg file to the ankidroid directory, the cards still aren't recognized by the app. Clicking on the apkg file does not result in AnkiDroid opening the cards. I will try the menu import soon and will update my review if it works.
