Anchor watch PRO is a position logger, SMS alarm and sound alarm and it monitors the device's current location and informs you if the location of the device changes too far away from the set anchor. In that case, it will sound an alarm and optionally send an SMS. Please try free version of the app before buying this one to test if all functions are supported by your phone. Please know that the performance and accuracy of the Anchor watch application depends on the hardware and software of the used device. If you have bad reception, please move the device to a location that has better satellite reception! Because this application uses GPS to monitor movement, it will consume battery a bit faster than normally. Saved our boat! Mooring broke... Use all features of the app including the Telegram integration, can get boat status when away from boat. Main issues are all Android behaviors that are not the apps fault. IMPROVEMENT REQUEST - The default input format D.dddd for custom coordinates is not the same as app display D M.mmm so transferring anchor position from one phone to another requires extra clicks (why have it this way). ALSO being able to calibrate the phone compass in the app would be great.

Pretty decent app, but how do "quit" the program? This most recent version does not mimic this request as your posted video does here.

Wish Android wouldn't snooze GPS but love the APP! Would love to have a widget that we could just touch to set the anchor location. That's when we start using the app anyway.

Very good and reliable product once you have found a device that won't kill the process for "battery conservation". We are using it all the time when anchoring, allows us to sleep soundly, does not produce too many false alarms and has saved our boat a couple times in the past year. I really love the integration with telegram too, as it allows anyone I want to join the group that gets notified. Of course, I made knots in my head regarding the setup initially, but the answer I got solved it.

I'm a very experienced sailor and have been using this app for over a year. I think that it's excellent! I use the 'basic functions' of the app, and haven't messed with the messaging features. My approach to using the app is pretty straightforward in that every time I drop the anchor I'll 'set the Anchor Watch Pro either by using the "current location" at the moment I lower the anchor, or the 'advanced' location feature if I've already paid out my rode. One really fantastic thing that you can do with this app is to use it to check the 'set' of your anchor. So, after you have deployed your anchor and let out a sufficient amount of rode/scope then back down on your anchor to be see that it's holding. I have a catamaran and will put both engines in reverse at about 1/2 cruising RPM. While doing this I keep an eye on the app and look at the "distance from anchor" number and, once the tension is fully on the anchor, that distance number should not change much. I've had many occasions in which this little 'feature' of the app has saved me a lot of potential grief because it quickly showed that my anchor was moving. Highly recommended!!

Have been using this for about two months now. Currently cruising in the Bahamas and spending a lot of time at anchor. App works great. Easy to reposition the anchor point manually if you forget to set it right as you drop the hook. Need to remember to turn off the alarm when the app is running in background, even though I've disabled the battery saver mode. We have seen the notification text feature work when we have 2 phones connected to the, but tricky to have that connectivity at anchor

Saved me and my boat several times. If you leave the magic circle, there is a siren. You can see what your boat is doing on the map, and there is an option to see history so you can see where your boat has been. I've dragged a few times and most of those, I wouldn't have noticed until I was on the rocks. Thank you anchor watch pro!

Of the two anchor apps I've tried, this is the superior one. The telegram integration allows the phone I leave on the boat to notify my main phone if the boat drifts out of bounds, and when I sleep at anchor, the alarm wakes me up if anything is amiss. My only complaint is that the app advertises two way communication with the at-anchor phone using telegram (eg, I should be able to use a remote device to proactively check on the at-anchor device's location), but I've found no way to do this.

Awesome. We charter and cruise full time. This has saved our bacon more than a few times. I love the functionality of remote notifications so even when I'm not on board, I know the boat is where I left it. Simple, easy to use, straight forward. Worth every penny.
