I just signed up as a member of this credit union and am now trying to download the app to access my accounts. The app automatically closes out every time after 3-5 seconds. For a banking app, that's pretty scary. I think I will be closing this account and switching to a different bank.

App is ok compared to some other bank apps used. Nothing standout or any major turn-off. One BIG issue in logging into the app is the biometric (fingerprint) login. I activate it, login in once or twice, then for some reason the biometric login stops working and is "off" in settings. Very aggravating, especially for a new client. Uninstalled and reinstalled the app several times, same problem. Android 11 and Samsung Galaxy S21, all up-to-date.

The app is functional but designed for small phones. For instance, if you want to transfer money between your accounts, you have to do it as a sequence of steps at each of which very little data is shown. When you enter the amount to transfer, "From" and "To" accounts and their balances are not shown. There is a plenty of screen space but it is blank.

Good credit union with high interest and minimal fees. The app does what it is supposed to do without a problem. You have the option in the app to enable a feature that will find the nearest in-network ATMs, and its mobile deposit scan and upload works well.

APP is getting a little better but you can only pay your credit card bill once per 24 hours! NOW YOU HAVE TO GO TO A PC. NOW THE NEW UPDATE IS FORCING ME TO UPDATE BEFORE I CAN OPEN THE MOBILE APP. NOT USER FRIENDLY THIS CREDIT UNION IS ACTING LIKE A BIG BANK. NOT USER FRIENDLY. PLEASE DO NOT FIX THE MOBILE APP UNLESS IT IS BROKEN!!!! Every time I open the Alliant cu app, it asks me a question " ALLOW ALLIANT CU ACCES MY LOCATION. My reply is always NO!!

The functionality of the app is pretty basic, there are a lot of things that you can do only from the web account. The design is very 2010, isn’t even trying to follow platform guidelines, somewhat childish, the UX is not thought threw at all. Overall, not too bad and not ugly, pretty tolerable, with a whole lot of room for improvement.

The deposit function is incredibly frustrating to use as it won't capture the back of my check and provides the error "background is too light". This despite that it captured the front of the check with no issues.

I was forced to do an update today, but it just turns with nothing happening. I tried it three times and finally removed the app. Tried installing fresh and it still does not install. Sucks.
