Edit: I bought the pro version a long time ago. AVG no longer honors the original license and does not update the app any more, so it doesn't work correctly on Android 10. Honestly I like it enough that I'd buy it again, but I can't justify it if they're just going to arbitrarily stop supporting it again at some point in the future with zero communication to PAID users... Original review: Paid version disappeared. I've been using this for 8 years and at some point it reverted to the trial version. Overall, I like it more than the stock alarm. I've been having the same issue that everyone else seems to be having with Android 10 that causes the app to not override the lock screen. Other than those two issues, my only nitpick is the lack of customization. There used to be themes, now it's just blue. I'm glad that I can pick from basically any audio for my alarms, but I'd like the same versatility in my background.

  2. Jim Jameson-avatar

Update: I had the Pro version. It worked fine for 2 years but stopped with Android 10. Now it's no longer supported and we have to downgrade to the free version and pay again to avoid ads. Not happy. I've seen the responses where you offered refunds only to people who bought Pro in the past year. And I agree with the rationale of supporting just one version. So instead of a refund why not just give former Pro users a coupon or credit to get the ad-free feature upon request. Unlike a refund that will cost you NOTHING!! Oh, but you say you may lose revenue by offering this to us?? I doubt that many of us will be paying for another upgrade, so you won't lose much revenue -- but instead you will have lost quite a bit of customer GOODWILL!! Is that worth it?? Opportunity knocks...

  3. Ittandro Koder-avatar

So far seems great! (it took too long to realize why REMINDERS made NO SOUND - while alarms did! I almost uninstalled before I found notification settings needed to be adjusted. I would think this needs to be made clearer, best during initial installation. My first wish: make snooze time and even snooze interval fully adjustable ad hoc at the time an alarm/reminder occurs).

  4. lynhof-avatar

Alarm Clock Extreme Free is a great alarm clock. I set weekly alarms for multiple days during the week. I type in the name so it shows me what to do, like "Call Angie". It has many different alarm tunes that aren't jarring and I can set the volume for each one -- different time of day, different volume. It has never had any performance problems on my Android phone. I use the one-time quicky alarm a lot. I rely on this app every day. I highly recommend it.

  5. Ken Gehring-avatar

Interesting. The app is a 5 star app. The support is 0 stars. No info at all forthcoming from the vendor as to needing to install the new version and buy it again to fix issues with Android upgrades. So the rating is 2 stars. Last time this will happen for me with this app. Next time I'll search for a new one.

  6. Earl Borah-avatar

Years ago, this was on Amazon's app store, until they dropped support for that version. I paid again for the Pro version here, because it's that good. Then they dropped support for the Pro version, which effectively forces you to change once you upgrade to Android 10. In a few more years they'll probably switch something again to make us pay again. The app IS better than anything else I've found, so much so that I'm seriously considering letting them get away with triple-dipping.

  7. JP Lafayette-avatar

I've been using this app for years for free with ads. I use multiple alarms a day, as I have many important daily tasks, like taking my many medications throughout the day. I like the setup and I'm used to it. So today I bought it because the developers earned my $ with this app after many years of free use.

  8. Serge V-avatar

This app has been my faithful alarm clock for years. I love the flexibility, options and reliability. I, too, have been impacted by the Android 10 issue and could no longer rely on this app. After initially being quite annoyed, I came to the realization that I've had a fantastic alarm clock (and timer, stopwatch, etc.) for several years for a measly few dollars. I've just committed to the new version ($6 for the lot) and hope to enjoy it for years to come. One star lost for the inconvenience.

Purchased the pro version a couple of years ago. Recently, it started acting strangely... Alarm going off but not popping up on the screen for me to shut it off. I also noticed that it now says I'm using the free version and I can't seem to find a log-in or anything to access the full version, which I paid for.

  10. Mark O'Deady-avatar

I have been a user of this fantastic alarm clock app for several months now and am even more impressed with it now than I was when I was first experimenting with it. Alarm Clock Xtreme is well designed, easy to use and reliably as simple (or intricate) as your alarm requirements might require.

  11. Tracy Treman-avatar

It's true. Reading the complaints and remarks by AVG I was a bit confused so I installed the new version, and yup, all of us Alarm Clock Xtreme Pro users that have had the app and loved it for more than a year (many years for me) are getting screwed. AVG found a slick way to get more $$ from us. Well I'll not be rewarding that behavior. I'll be switching apps. Anyone know of a good alarm clock app out there that won't disinherit me in a few years?

  12. Jason Cunningham-avatar

    Jason Cunningham

Another former Pro user. I'm forced to look at ads now or pay again for the "free" version. I understand the argument that the pro version is no longer supported, but what I find unacceptable is that it is no longer available. The Android 10 bug was a minor inconvenience for me and the app (which I paid for) still served my purposes, but it is now unavailable. I'll look elsewhere. Considering this company's track record with user data collection and privacy, this is probably for the best.

  13. Richard O'Neal-avatar

Update - I have this set for Mon - Fri. Four times now it's failed to alarm on Monday morning, making me late for work. Too many issues calls for uninstall. This is a great app. I stopped using it under Android 10 because it wouldn't show up on the lock screen, but uninstalling and reinstalling made it work again. The HUGE snooze button is so convenient and apparently exclusive to this app. All other alarm apps I've seen have a small (hard to find when you're half asleep) snooze button.

  14. Dave Sauerbeck-avatar

I like many reviewers have used this app for a long. Recently I purchased a pixel phone but was not able to transfer from old phone. Had to pay AGAIN for a Pro download. AVG support sent me email on 9/13 that new version 6.7.3 had fixed the A10 problem. Not so for me!! No response from AVG yet after 2 follow-up emails. Poor Poor service on what was such a good app.

  15. Steven Chu-avatar

TL;DR: It will only be a matter of time before another version is released and this one will be abandoned for paid users. I'm very disappointed in how they handled PREVIOUS PAID users who supported the developer by purchasing the pro app previously. They delisted it and stopped supporting it. They claim this is due to technical issues but I don't believe it. There are numerous ways they could have handled it like turning the PRO version into an unlock key similar to how Poweramp handles it. They can update the PRO version less frequently instead of of completely abandoning it. In the end, their decision to make people pay twice is purely a money grab. They have shown their willingness to try and get more money from their existing user base.

  16. Austin Smith-avatar

I was so upset when my favorite alarm clock xtreme for over 6 years no longer worked. I tried several others and they were not what i was used to. So there i was searching again when i went to find the paid version again to see if it maybe worked again. I couldn't it anywhere and that's when i learned my experience was not a unique one. I was so elated and downloaded this free version immediately. It was the same app i loved for so long. Once i was satisfied i paid for it. I'm so glad I did.

  17. Kornel Hoekerd-avatar

After trying to fix issues for months, without good results, I found here the issue is incompatibility with Android 10. I downloaded the latest version, which works, and now I need to pay again to get rid of marketing? So thanks for 1) no notification about Android 10 issues on previous Pro version and 2) making me pay again. I will look elsewhere.....

  18. theotherguy7145-avatar

Used to be great, but they discontinued the Pro version and want users to buy new functions on the "free" version instead. I wouldn't mind, but there's no guarantee that after buying functions on the free version then they won't hide other features I USED to own behind another paywall. For users insistent on keeping this app, ads can be blocked by using a VPN app, then disallowing access to the alarm clock.

  19. Louise Vajdec-avatar

Wonderful keeps me organized all day. However, I'm finding in the last few months a night clock appeared that shows (excess) info that I can't customize. It interferes with both alarm clock (have to close night clock before I can access the alarm) and worst of all, I can't answer my phone. It rings but I have to first close the @#!# night clock and the buttons to answer and turn on speaker are hidden. Frustrating. This is an alarm clock extreme problem! Please fix!!

  20. Mary Guiler-avatar

I had had the pro version of this app for years & loved it. But I had rated this 1 star after my Samsung Galaxy S+ updated to Android 10, and it no longer worked correctly. Received a message from avg today that pro version is no longer supported, but to uninstall & download new free version that they said was better. Did that...and all is now working just fine! Checked out featured I used before, then upgraded to premium. Thanks for letting me know. Glad to have my favorite alarm back!

  21. Connor Ward-avatar

Although it's reliable, there are 2 things that should be fixed — 1) To snooze an alarm, you don't have to swipe anything (like my default Samsung alarm); you just TAP either the Snooze or Dismiss button. These buttons will often get "tapped" by my pocket, or as I'm pulling out my phone — cancelling an alarm prematurely or snoozing an alarm I'm done with. 2) EVERY time you Dismiss an alarm, there's a full-size screen asking you to rate the app. Like what TF, I already bought the Pro version.

  22. Nathan Macnamara-avatar

    Nathan Macnamara

Developer abandons PRO Paid users. Happy to support worthy app developers so bought PRO version years ago. Confusingly the Pro version started being very clunky since upgrade to Android 10 (can't open app from lock screen, have to unlock phone, find this app and silence - meanwhile my partner has fully woken up, far more than "inconvenient"). Dev abandons paid users, adds Pro version functionality to premium Free version so they can get revenue twice. Horrible dev will never support you again.

  23. Ivan Embden-avatar

I loved the pro version of this app and used it for years, but with Android 10 unsupported I'm going to have to move to this version. The developer didn't answer my question as to if they'd be willing to transfer my pro membership to this app! If I can't even see the PRO version on the screen when an alarm goes off that's a huge bug! The least they can do is transfer my pro membership to the new app since the old one is discontinued.

  24. Steve Crockett-avatar

Have used for well over a year. I'm very happy with the flexibility provided; the app allows me to have multiple alarms with different schedules and different ringtones. The quick alarm capability is great for taking a catnap on a lazy Sunday afternoon.

  25. Sian Day-avatar

So I like alarm clock Xtreme - I did buy the pro version back in 2015, after all. And while I feel that having to pay a little more for no ads is not entirely unreasonable 5 years later (the version I was using having been removed and no longer supported, and not actually working properly after the latest Android update), I'm somewhat less than impressed by the pricing structure. You want no ads? Pay more. You want unlimited reminders? Pay more? You want other features? You got it! Pay more.

  26. Tim Johnson-avatar

I paid for the pro version but it stopped working properly with Android v10. I quickly found that AVG was no longer supporting that version and it would never be fixed. I'm okay with that; software isn't supported forever. What I'm not okay with is that this "new" version is literally the same exact program. So I'm guessing AVG was brainstorming new revenue streams and decided the easiest thing would be to sunset the program everyone paid for, copy and paste the code, and boom ... profit!

  27. BARRY G VARGUS SR-avatar

Love the fact that you can set-up an Alarm without Snooze function! That screws me & others up all the time. Sometimes I don't sleep for 10 days in a row (due to illness). The last thing I need is friends or family members ] This lousy alarm clock is getting down in Stars along with "Your Phone Companion" & "Bluetooth Pair" last 2 don't work & get suckier & suckier as ever!

  28. Aubrey Johnson-avatar

I set the alarm for 5:55 and it goes off at 5:58. I thought maybe I had typed it in wrong, but when I turned it off it read as 5:55. I have no idea what kind of clock app can't even figure out what time it is. I don't want to use it now in case it just never goes off. Other features about it are great, I downloaded it because Samsung's clock doesn't have gradually increasing volume.

  29. Lorissa Loveland-avatar

    Lorissa Loveland

Used to love this app, literally use it multiple times every day; however for a couple weeks now, my alarms would still work, but never popped up on the screen to turn them off. I'd have to unlock my phone & go to the app just to open & turn off alarms. So I deleted & reinstalled. The option to restore purchase did NOTHING & I couldn't even contact support with paying for the direct support option. Sent an email, no response. Finally had to pay for it again to get rid of adds & contact support!

  30. Stuart Riley-avatar

The premium version is crippled after the latest OS update on Samsung devices. The free version appears to work, but it still prompts you to update to the crippled premium, paid version. AVG says they are focusing updates on the free version, so prompts for the paid version don't make much sense to me. I'd give this app 5 stars, but the fact that it prompts to install a crippled premium version, I'm going with 4 stars. For now, I recommend sticking with the free version.

  31. Michael Hall-avatar

Seriously What a rip off! Had pro before and never pops up since Android 10, and now this excuse of "concentrating on one app" (the exactly same app) is a pure rort to get us to pay again! Not happy Edit reply : that's fine I understand business and software development, but you should give those that already paid for pro the ad free version not make them pay again, you are double dipping! edit2 — so someone's that's been a loyal customer for more than a year gets nothing!! Seems fair. NOT

  32. brian vander-avatar

I have been using this app for years and years. But this recent update to android samsung galaxy s10 has caused the alarm to fail completely every monday morning. Only monday mornings. I have my device set to automatically restart during the night (saturday-sunday), this is the only thing i can think of that is interfering. I do not use external sound for the alarms. I have the same alarm set to go off monday thru saturday. Thus has happened for 3 weeks as of today, 2020February03.

  33. C MG-avatar

This app has stopped working on Mondays. For the last 3 weeks it has completely failed to go off on Mondays. I've checked my scheduled alarm, Monday is clearly selected. I've even deleted all of my alarms and reset them. It still doesnt work. It works just fine every other day. I'm not missing the alarm because I've been awake and waiting for it to go off & it does not. This is something I can't risk. I've been using this app for years but I'm going to have to go with a more reliable alarm app

  34. Paul Erb-avatar

Used this app for five, six, maybe eight years. Never once had an issue. Paid for Premium. Most recent update and I have had three occasions that my alarm simply didn't go off. Late for work, fortunately I'm a manager so I didn't lose my job. Others may not be so fortunate. TOTALLY UNRELIABLE at this point. I am downloading a new alarm app as we speak. Sorry to say, though it was a great app before, I can't risk anymore missed alarms. Email customer support, no response as of yet.

  35. Rebecca Morris-Ostrom-avatar

    Rebecca Morris-Ostrom

The alarm clock part of this works great! Highly recommended. The newish reminders function, unfortunately, is not so stable. If I don't check the reminder right away (if I'm away from my phone), it regularly crashes the app and makes my phone unusable until the phone figures it out. But the alarm is easy to use, I can use songs as the wakeup sound, has multiple options for how to turn it off and snooze.

  36. Andrew Rossetti-avatar

    Andrew Rossetti

Used to love this app, and have been a Pro user for years. Recently upgraded my Note 9 to Android 10, and alarm stopped waking my screen. I attempted to resolve by uninstalling and reinstalling, however when I did that, it wiped out my Pro purchase. Attempting to use the Restore Purchases option did not work, so now I am stuck without direct support and with ads. Not a good experience.

  37. David Brooks-avatar

Used to be a great app that I'd give 4 or even 5 stars to, since this past week it has stopped working. My scheduled alarms are not going off and that is unacceptable, seeing as it's the only reason I got the app in the first place. Only reason I am giving 2 stars is it used to be a very good app, but I can't count on this app anymore.

  38. Scott Godbee-avatar

I bought the previous Pro version of this app, not that I was necessarily worried about ads but because I wanted to contribute to the future development of this app. The version I bought is no longer being supported. Now this new version is EXACTLY like the older version, and the only difference is payment options. That's bad form, AVG. I'll not pay for this newer version from you and I'll spend my money with someone else.

  39. Tammy Laws-avatar

Update to review. They say it shouldn't use that much. But it still does. This app can be a battery hog for no apparent reason. The nights that is uses no batter are when no alarm is set. The app has recently started using a tremendous amount of battery overnight. I'm talking about going from 100% to 70% with only the alarm in use. I just can't have that. I don't want to have to recharge my phone every morning.

  40. Michael Abbott-avatar

Worked perfectly for several years on my Samsung G6, until about one week ago. Now it's crashed twice, thus not going off at all (received error message stating I missed an alarm due to a crash) . I can only guess one of the recent updates was faulty. It had worked flawlessly until this past week, which is why I gave it two stars instead of one.

  41. Doug Sopp-avatar

I had purchased the Pro version of this app, which was brilliant, but it appears that they weren't happy with customers only purchasing the app once, so discontinued that one. We now have to either endure intrusive ads, or pay again for the EXACT SAME APP! I only paid because I assumed that my many alarms would transfer over via the "automatic backup", but I was wrong. Disgusting, money-grabbing behavior.

  42. Christina Wooff-avatar

    Christina Wooff

I love this clock. It works really good. I use it all the time. I like that I can choose an alarm. I especially like the gradual setting. One thing that would be nice is an option to change the landscape to a different theme. It doesn't have to be many. Or maybe change the color of the background. I wish I could have the rooster background all the time. No offense with the mountain background. I like it too.

  43. Sarah Harry-avatar

Byebye after long time. Now have this new version and what a disappointing experience. No stars. Back to my default app. Where's the timer access gone? Hidden in the left menu even when active! It used to be in top banner. I use short timers frequently. You've just removed big benefit - fast access to timers. Can't set background to app. Just some anodyne American Rockies cartoon. I paid for this twice because it's been sold on to big corp. I didn't expect degraded experience. Awful.

  44. Chili Ghost-avatar

Why do you i suddenly have ads? I used to have pro so I already paid to not have ads. Then I reinstalled the app cause it refused to stay on top since Android 10 was released. After installing again I suddenly had a lot of ads. What is up, do I need to pay again?

  45. No One-avatar

I paid for this app sometime ago now I'm having to pay for it again? Dev claims they are now focusing only on the "free" version. Yet the "free" version has to be paid for in order to remove ads. THAT IS NOT FREE Plus since they've done it before what will stop them from again switching their program and forcing users to buy the app a third time? Fool me once shame on you...

  46. Steelebourne-avatar

The Android 10 update broke the app's ability to wake up the phone. Thanks to the dev's help, I figured out how to fix it. Just like PC drivers, simply installing an update onto the original version can cause problems, and require a fresh installation. That's what you need to do with this. Uninstall the version that was updated, download it again, and it's fixed. I don't know if you have to pay for it again, since I only need the free one.

  47. Eric Christensen-avatar

    Eric Christensen

I had paid for Alarm Clock Xtreme Pro, but they stopped updating it, and it no longer works on Android 10. I contacted support, and they want me to download this one and pay to remove ads. A paying customer has an issue, and the solution is to pay again? That is terrible support, and a terrible way to treat a customer. I WILL NOT be downloading and paying for this app, as I do not want to support a shady company/developer.

  48. Ly Cas-avatar

Previous app that I had for 5 years was no longer supported but I wasn't told that until it stopped working and I complained. I was told this was the only app they would keep up to date so I downloaded it and created all my alarms again. After a software update on my phone last night the alarm no longer overrides the phone sounds settings like it had been, so once again the alarm app is ineffective.

  49. Dorothy Collins-avatar

I had to uninstall/reinstall this app & now the older version is no longer available. It had fewer ads!! It just now used the name of a friend's daughter for an Ad!! I'm sure this is not the fault if the app. But, Google?? Don't know Don't was creepy! The daughter is dead. 2. The app works fine so far, but without both versions on Google Play, well, it's just not as User Friendly fir me. I have to learn new technology & yet, put up with ALL THESE ADS!!! It's gross.

Alarms recently started going off on wrong day and time. Also, there's no way to opt out of having your personal data backed up in the cloud. I don't like when apps start grabbing your data, they always great more and more.

  51. Chel S-avatar

No different? High hopes that repurchasing this app would improve it (since the version I purchased 5 years ago is no longer supported?) It's just the same. Boring blue mountain. Still can't launch google calendar. It still can't find me using locate (does better with the estimate made by chasing my ISP). AVG had to abandon the old PRO app because they couldn't fix it, they say. But it seems to be working, with the same problems, here under a new app name with $ more from me.

  52. scott adams-avatar

I have used this app for years but after the most recent Android update (or app update not sure) the screen never goes full screen when your alarm goes off which makes it harder to snooze or turn off. This has become a problem for me since my wife and I are on different schedules. It also won't wake my phone up when it goes off. Not sure what changed but it needs fixed.

Was perfect until a couple days ago.. i needed an alarm that would blast thru an external speaker.. this alarm does this.. problem is 2 days ago it stopped working.. it correctly acknowledges that the alarm is coming up, but it never goes off.. in fact it says good morning as if I turned the alarm off normally.. I think an update must have broken it

Ive re-evaluated my review. I have gone up from four stars, I really like the program, and Igave them five stars. Except for... The amount of ads, the fact that it automatically sets alarms to "60 Seconds of gradually increase volume", It's a good program and well worth the price (watching an ad now and then) but otherwise Free. Ive been using this program for several years now. Good job people!☺

  55. Brett Crowley-avatar

I Have been using this app for the past 4 years or so now as my go-to alarm clock, and honestly it's pretty solid. It's really nice to wake up to a calm alarm that slowly gets louder rather than one that blasts an annoying beeping sound until you slap the snooze button out of frustration. Over all, I would recommend this app for any lighter sleepers that prefer a calmer way to wake up. As opposed to waking up to a mini air raid siren.

  56. Michael Ball-avatar

Everything that annoys me about the default Android alarm clock - like not having control over snooze times - these people have thought of. I racked my brain trying to think of reasons to give it fewer than 5 stars, and simply couldn't think of anything. Well worth paying a couple bucks to disable ads. Now if only it could make coffee for me in the morning, I'd give it 6 stars.

  57. J K-avatar

I use it an it's generally good but there's this one feature where it will put this stupid black screen after you dismiss your alarm, and/or you just look at your phone and the only way to get rid of it is to X out even if you have a smart phone that you swipe for everything. Really really irritating, other than that good app

  58. Mina Hanna-avatar

Horrible company!!!. Decided to delist the pro version that pple paid for and support the "free" version to force pple to rebuy the same exact app!!!! They don't offer refund or support to the pole who bought the pro version. Now, I am asked to use the version with ads "free" although I paid for a pro version.

  59. Tomáš Hons-avatar

Very nice and well programmed alarm app but it could be nice to have option to change background of lock screen, shape, size and also handling of stop and snooze buttons along with brightness setup. That is last step to perfection, that lock screen personalizatiom. One star is only because attention. After you add this feature you will get full 5* rating. 🙂 UPDATE: Best answer I can hear, thank you and I look forward to release 🤗.

  60. Lisa M-avatar

Dependable and I love that it has a giant snooze button. The only thing I don't like is that you can't back out of the app once you've pressed snooze.. You have to use the home button and then if something else was open before you have to reopen it. Not enough of a negative to reduce stars though!

  61. Christian Benitez-avatar

It's an excellent choice. You can play music. If you're too lazy to wake up, there's an option that requires you to solve some math problems in order to dismiss the alarm. That's quite useful. Besides the deign and interface are excellent.

  62. T M-avatar

I love this app. Its easy to use and full of great features. I work odd shifts so sleeping times change and the multiple alarms are awesome. I really like the way it gives me a snapshot of how my daily schedule is laid out as well. The free version is cool but the extremely inexpensive cost for the additional features was a no brainer for me.

  63. Doug X-avatar

Ok alarm app but the ads are now hyper aggressive. The dismiss can only be small (not full screen) and is right up on the ad banner. Also now when you save the alarm it takes you to the play store for the advertised app. -edit in response. When I click save (nothing else) it opens the play store for the kroger app. This is consistently reproducable on this version.

  64. kevin podkol-avatar

had to reset phone and now it says that I have to pay again for it. I will change to 5 stars if I get the full version back. UPDATE: I will not rebuy this app: 1. They removed it from being in the family library. 2. They claim they can not get people who bought the pro version, paid version before they changed it, the current paid version. BUYER BEWARE they will probably do it again in a year or two.

  65. Andy Thom-avatar

Very Nice alarm/timer/stopwatch application. 3 points for improvement: (1) Would be nice if it could use music tracks that I have downloaded from my Google Play Music subscription (2) It really **really** needs a digital clock widget like "Digital Clock Xperia". I'd give it 5-stars if these were implemented (3) The "dismiss" button could be taller - or even better the height customisable. It is really too small for 'bleary' eyes to see and stubby fingers to press.

  66. Chris Lally-avatar

Had previously used this app and paid to upgrade to the Pro version. Apparently at some point the Pro version was discontinued, so now to get the same features I have to pay to upgrade again; no support for previous paid customers, have to pay to upgrade the app a second time, not cool.

  67. Drake-avatar

The app itself is wonderful; the UI is friendly; though I use the free version due primarily to laziness on my end, it's highly cost effective and very well would be worth it. (I just don't feel like digging up my password for my account to make the purchase.. 🤦‍♂️) Overall, highly recommended. The only issue I've had was a minor bluetooth inconvenience.. But that was due to my own arrogance, as I set the phone speaker override setting to ON which disabled BT playback.

  68. Bassam Khattar-avatar

I'm loving this new alarm, after coming from years of using timely, this is an awesome app, couple of things is missing, some skins/themes, choosing our own alarm tune (read mp3 file) then it'll be a 5 star application. one more thing, i wish you can add the title of the alarm when viewed from the notification panel, currently it writes only upcoming alarm, which is not enough without knowing what alarm we're talking about.

  69. craig jordison-avatar

I've just got the app as fully paid but the free version was full of advertising and was doing my nut in with ads that you don't want to know about and the full version has none and you get the extras with it that you will find useful as I do and that you don't get in the free version

  70. Jerry Smith-avatar

I've been using the free version of ACX for over 8 years. Recently purchased the full version. Wish I had done it sooner. No nonsense alarm clock. Do yourself a favor and try this alarm clock or at least purchase it.

  71. Dmitry D-avatar

I'm a premium user and I like this app, but there are a couple of points tho: 1) There is no way to select specific days when the alarm shouldn't go off. E.g. I would like the alarm to be silenced on wednesday and friday next week only. 2) No "shift alarm" E.g. every 2 days or programmable cycle 3) When I use online radio for ringtone, there is no way to fallback to a local ringtone if online radio is unavailable, which leads to alarm missing.

  72. T D-avatar

Paid for this in hopes that the supposed "backup" feature would work for the 1st time ever (been using this app for 5+ years). It does NOT backup the data to your Google acct. Same Google acct for last 20 yrs. Devs refuse to allow outside apps (ex: Helium, Rerware MyBackup, etc) to backup the app data & refuse to add an in-app backup feature. Outside of Titanium Backup (root), the app data doesn't backup. Instead, device upgrades/resets are a huge pain in the ass for such a simple feature.

  73. Adam Kautz-avatar

AVG has fallen victim to greedy data collection. I purchased Alarm Xtreme Pro and AVG decided to stop updating it, leaving this almost identical, but very intrusive version. Their privacy policy reads, "Data collected directly from you or your device relating to an identifiable natural person may include name, address, email address, phone number, and online or indirect identifiers such as login account number, login password, marketing preferences, social media account..." UNINSTALLING!

  74. Daniel Clayton-avatar

Not a fan of the new update, new controls, or new layout. I will be trying to revert to the previous version and blocking updates. UPDATE: it has been ages and more changes and updates have put features behind paywalls and make the UI even less user friendly. It makes less since, is more indirect, but LOOKS flashier.

  75. roy bicknell-avatar

Overall great alarm & timer app. Previous paid version (used until android update didnt allow support of screen turn-on:Feb2020) which allowed viewing/editing/adding other alarms even when an Active Alarm is Snoozed. Current version takes over full screen when Snoozed, not allowing access to list of alarms or settings until Snoozed alarm is Dismissed. Please add back the ability to hide a Snoozed alarm & access alarm list & settings. Will come back if added :) Thank You

  76. Marissa Myers-avatar

Loved the app so much I upgraded to premium. I was having problems one day and deleted and reinstalled the app. There is a yellow star that says restore my purchase, but it dies give me the features back that I already paid for.

  77. The_Saint_1968-avatar

This alarm is very good but when I have an alarm going off I have to unlock my phone scroll down, find alarm, press then choose dismiss or snooze. An active alarm used to go directly on my home screen. ( I'm using pro version)

  78. Shelley Shaw-avatar

This alarm would be just fine if i could change the background graphic. I don't like the blue mountain. This seems like such a simple and obvious customization to include. Please add to wish list.

  79. SuprChickn 77-avatar

Everything works great except the calendar. Today is Wednesday the 12th but somehow it says Thursday the 14th. If I click on the 14th it says correctly that the 14 th is Friday. Somehow the date is always a number off for the day that mentions is "upcoming". Very strange!

  80. Toby Simpson-avatar

I paid for the pro version but now does not pop up when alarm goes off. Other comments saying that the app is no longer updated by the developer even though we have paid for it!! We should get a free upgrade on this standard version or a refund as this is day light robbery

  81. Dwayne Hunter-avatar

Already paid for Pro, but they dropped that app and are just telling people to pay again! They should offer a way to get the upgrade if you already bought the pro app. But they just tell people to pay again...

  82. Kolya McCleave-avatar

I love that this app has an option to play the alarm through the headphones. I bought earplug headphones and need an alarm like that. Now all that is missing for this to be a 5 star alarm app for me would be a way to play white noise sounds to keep my bluetooth earplug headphones from timing out.

"Turn phone on" with alarm has been removed - no alarm! Why remove a very usefull feature. Now Alarm Clock extreme has itself become useless. Tereza - how about listing the "version that works" separately? Clearly the mods you did for v10 is killing you. Tereza, thank you for your prompt reply. I assure you earlier versions DEFINITELY had a selectable option in the menu structure "Turn phone on with alarm" or similar, and it worked! Plse read others'comments again - they also allude to this.

  84. Isaac Phillips-avatar

I've been using this Alarm clock app (paid) for years. It is, by far, the best one available! My only complaint is AVG. Android upgraded to 10, and it stopped working. Support told me I had to download the new version and pay for Ad-free again.

  85. Tor-Espen Austheim-avatar

Had paid for the premium or pro version which suddenly stopped working properly. I uninstalled and installed again just to find that the app now was full of ads and I couldn't restore my purchase. Was very happy with this app to this point, but no way I'm paying for the same app twice.

I like this app and its features but I do not think it's appropriate for the advertisement when I shut off my alarm to be sex products. Every day I'm getting the same ad from Wish with rather graphic and weird fetish type sex objects. Not what I want to wake up to. Otherwise 5 stars, not inconvenienced by the ads but rather the content

  87. Doug McGowan-avatar

Great reliable alarm, very easy to use with a simple interface. Also includes stopwatch, timer, and reminder functions that I have found to be quite useful.

  88. Aaron Gaspie-avatar

I have had this alarm for a very long time but lately it's been messing up. It's made me late for work and the past 2 days it hasn't gone off.. Time to uninstall and get another one.

  89. Avi Zamites-avatar

Instead of a long negative review , I would direct you to all the recent 1 star reviews. The new pro version is probably good for new first time purchasers, but legacy users got left on the battlefield. Nothing more to say. No response needed from AVG development anymore.

  90. kees van den aarssen-avatar

Works as it should. Easy to change alarm times. I have the app on my home page so I always see when the next alarm will be. Works perfectly fine with Tasker.

  91. Jorge Gaspar-avatar

This is scam, so they had the same app that costed 5.49eur for the premium features (no ads) which I've paid. They removed that app and added this one only, where they are asking me again to pay for the exact premium features I had on the app they removed.

  92. Mark Szikla-avatar

Used to be a great app but have the paid version for years. Recent updates my timer alarm has failed multiple times and it's negatively affected my work, I can't have that any longer. Now I'm forced to find another app that is actually reliable

  93. Khaled Haddad-avatar

Worst company ever. They stopped supporting the paid version to make people pay twice. They chose to continue supporting only the free version claiming it has more users so no guarantee they wouldn't stop supporting paying users again in the future and hiding behind other ridiculous claims.

  94. George Seale-avatar

Absolute rip off the app updates to android 10 then you have to pay for premium again don't pay for premium as they just steal your money AVG = ALWAYS VERY GREEDY!!!!!! And in the comments they are having a go at their upset customers disgusting way to run a business!!!!!!!!!!

  95. Deborah Serfozo-avatar

Loved it til it broke with Android 10, then I had to uninstall and use another app which I don't like nearly as much. Seeing these recent reviews and dev responses, I waned to try again, but now it wants me to pay again for Pro. I purchased Pro in September 2015.

  96. ASH-avatar

I have been using this app for years and does what I need consistently. Love the maths dismiss function. I have never paid for the app but the ads they have are not annoying so I don't mind

  97. D.S. Munro-avatar

Developer refuses to fix the "PRO" paid version, suggesting this "free" version, forcing me to pay for add-ons I already paid for. Scummy business practice and bad customer service. Uninstalled and installed a better alternative.

  98. D. Adelle Lee-avatar

Very pleased with this app. Having multiple alarms in place to use (or not) as my schedule changes is great. Also use quick alarm settings for naps, project time blocks and such. Easy to adjust settings for creating alarms or modifying existing ones.

  99. Adam Doar-avatar

Great so far, I'd give 5 stars if it only had a digital clock (that shows the time, not just the alarm) as a widget, unfortunately only analogue versions are available.

  100. PJ Milligan-avatar

Has been working great so far, upgraded to this app after the Android 10 update...however yesterday and today, alarms just did not go off, and the app stated I had no upcoming alarms, even though they were still set and on. I've reset the alarms and checkws DND settings...kinda annoyed this morning.
