It is literally just a map. Doesn't adjust to where you point. Lousy visualizing. There is another app with the same name that I had on my iPhone that orientates itself after you point at the sky & make a figure 8 with your phone. I'll keep looking for same thing for my Samsung.

  2. Simon Pender-avatar

s Brilliant. Very pretty and well executed. Very informative. I found it easy enough to navigate but would like a "return to Sol" button in the menu or in a corner of the screen, hmm maybe in the menu. It intrigues me the that I'm looking at this app on a device that it mostly star stuff. I read one comment that the grids are too small but I think they're just about right, otherwise we'd be swamped in stars. Pay a couple of bucks to remove ads and support.

  3. Daniel Wolf-avatar

los angeles This is the best star maps I have downloaded by far.The stars are in sectors where they are from each other in our Milky way galaxy. It feels like you are traveling in space in your starship.A GREAT APP!🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠

  4. Scott Cox-avatar

app Want to actually visualize and know where Earth's closest stellar neighbors are in relation to our solar system? This app is excellent, great for the aspiring science fiction writer and amateur astronomer alike.

  16. ra cofi-avatar

    Good job I like

  17. Lezlie TGirl-avatar

This app is great! Just great. As an aspiring sci-fi author it helps to know what's out there, for the sake of realism. I would have given it five stars if it weren't for the fact that there is absolutely no way to orient the map according to the galactic center. If you could add something like that, like a skybox with faint outlines of the arms and core of the Galaxy that also move as you change sectors, that would be worth 5 stars. As an example, I'm trying to find a suitable star at the very end of the Orion spur for a setting in my current work and while this app makes finding it a specific star a price of cake, it's impossible to know exactly where it is in relation to the arms or core, so the star I find could be in the completely wrong direction and I wouldn't even know it. Hell, even adding in the galacty latitudes and longitudes would be enough, although it would require a bit of work on my part. All in all, great app if only a little unclear.

  22. William Brewer-avatar

Does what i want without hassle im a fledgeling astronomer an use this often .

  23. Felicia Pate-avatar

Beautiful app, but it wouldn't let me do anything without stalling. And it was a tad bit too complex for my needs. I gave it 3 stars simply for aesthetics.

  24. Ryan Clark-avatar

Great idea, mediocre execution. Unable to find certain stars via search, no indication of scale for the sectors or grid lines, navigation is clunky at best.

  25. Hurricane Ivan-avatar

    A very good app!

  26. Keith Johnson-avatar

    Really cool Thanks

  27. Michael Crow-avatar

Im very much in to that in which is space, i want to know is how accurate the developers think it is to what is known. (What we think we know because we dont) the program works great other than my fat fingers keep pressing the grid over button. When i think of starwars hyperdrive navagation system this app is what i think

  28. Travis Jackson-avatar

Just what I was looking for... the ability to move around in 3D and see what stars are near or far from us, and get info on each star. Great App! Good job!

  29. Robin Soto-avatar

Excellent guide to or extra solar neighborhood.

  30. Alex B-avatar

This is really great, but it lacks some things that aren't too bad for me to rate it lower for. Some stars have the wrong Wikipedia articles linked as well as stars that I wanna see that aren't there. WHERES TRAPPIST-1 !?!??

  31. Láng Attila D.-avatar

    Láng Attila D.

Good idea, needs work. Large ads, a huge menu button, and the menu appears GIGANTIC. Unusable. Navigation is complicated when you’re unsure which arrow button do you need and have to rotate it into view.

  32. D P-avatar

Very cool. Gives info on parts of the galaxy with really good visuals. If you don't feel like reading just listen to the music and chill out while watching the galaxy slowly spin.

  33. jose vivaldi-avatar

Exciting! I'm an old star trek fan, I'm happy to find real galaxy map.
