This service screwed me over and made me late for work. My route always costs between $10-15, but randomly it shot up to $30. To make things worse, despite booking a ride at 3pm (to a destination only 10 minutes away), my expected arrival time wouldn't be until 430pm. An hour and a half?! With double the cost?! Screw this. 1 star. I ended up having to walk to work, because it was more reliable. Use Uber. I have never had this bad a time with Uber.

Just use uber! Usually worked well, but a service is judged when things go wrong: I took a ride with my elderly parent. The driver drove past our drop off and dropped us a 10 minute walk away. I realized this, but he refused to drive us to our drop off. If I wanted a walk I would have used public transportation. Lyft support would not even let me explain the problem, but just wrote it off. Lyft thinks this is acceptable for a taxi service and would not compensate me in any fashion. Steer clear!

For the people having location problems, this can quickly be improved, if not fixed, by turning on, location setting on phone and give the app this permission. Then the driver can see the location of the phone. Or drop the pin exactly where you want it, don't type in the address. Many more tips but not enough space.

Meh...The app lets you select where to get picked up, but doesn't communicate that with the driver, apparently, that's inconvenient and can make you or your driver lost. Also, it sure does NOT vibrate when they're 3 min away, so that is a blatant LIE. When selecting a ride, it will suddenly tell you your ride is going to cost more , so be aware of those rate changes as you're confirming, sneaky. Overall, its fine, you just gotta be aware and keep an eye out when you're using it I guess.

Drivers continue to go to wrong location to my home. I gave them correct address and directions but GPS keeps having them to turn a block away and if I'm in the car I tell them to continue but if I'm not in car they get lost and don't show then report I was not at location. I have missed appointments because of this. Please correct my location on GPS, stop charging me cancelations when it's not my fault. I have been having the same issue since I've had this app.

I've recently been running into the problem where it tells me I have a driver on the way and say your driver is 3 minutes away and then out of nowhere "we found you a new driver" and tells me my new driver is 10 minutes away. What is going on? Is the app setting me up with drivers who cancel the ride when they are almost there? This is a pretty bad setup considering people only use lyft because it's more convenient than local taxi. You guys won't have any customers if you keep doing this!

Literally no stars though. This app really asks for your location and then can't get it right. Every time I open it they're saying I'm somewhere down the street from where I actually am. Also, they can't register my payment card for no apparent reason whereas everyother app I order food from and so on has had no issues taking my money. All other complaints that could be said can be summarized as, overall, I honestly hate this app.

There is no where on this app to set a future date and time. I followed instructions, clicked on "Ride" and nothing. Only other choice is to have someone come right away. 4 days too soon! This needs to be fixed or this app just sucks!

If I tried, I couldn't do a worse job of guessing how long a trip across town takes. like why are you telling my destination is 5 minutes away when it's 15? Everyone else's complaints are legit, but this one bothers me because it's so easy to fix. it's like your app is lying to me on purpose.

Overall, I think Lyft is great. One thing I don't like about the app is that it doesn't ask you if you want to offer a tip until the next time you open the app, which could be days, months or more later. So, often I can't even remember the specifics of the ride to know how I should tip. Why don't you simply send a notification once the trip is completed to say, 'would you like to tip your driver'?
